Your Role
As a Maintenance Fitter, your primary objective will be to maintain maximum asset uptime through planned and preventative maintenance during 3-day weekend shifts. You will work closely with various teams to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently. Key Responsibilities Include:
* Maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment on site.
* Fault finding and rectification using problem-solving skills.
* Collaboration with OEMs and external contractors for maintenance, repairs, and installations.
* Leading and promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring adherence to safe working practices.
* Utilizing CMMS to record and generate all planned, reactive, and project work.
* Liaising with vendors when diagnosing faults or sourcing replacement parts.
* Participating in continuous improvement projects and trials.
* Ensuring all work is completed safely and meets quality requirements.
* Effective communication with Engineering, Production, and Quality personnel.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Minimum 3 years of practical experience in a relevant industrial setting.
* A Maintenance Fitter Craft Certificate or equivalent.
* Strong technical capability with the ability to read and understand technical drawings.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
* Positive attitude towards changing circumstances and priorities.
* Excellent interpersonal and professional conduct.
