We are seeking a motivated and detail-orientated Accounts Assistant to join an indigenous organisation based on the South side of Cork City. This is a full-time, permanent role and will provide accounting and administrative support to senior accounting and finance staff.
Key Responsibilities: Posting of daily Customer Cash Remittances.Handling customer enquiries in relation to invoices and statement requests.Reconciliation of customer accounts and related credit control.Supplier account payments, account management and reconciliations.Weekly/monthly bank reconciliations.Petty cash transactions.Accurate entry of financial data into accounting systems.Process supplier payment requests (including foreign currency transactions).Providing general administrative support to the Senior Accountant in the Finance Department.Ad hoc financial analysis tasks as required.Requirements: 2+ years experience in an accounts or similar role.Proficiency in financial software including Excel.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with internal and external parties.Excellent organisation and time-management skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.For a confidential discussion and more information on the role, please contact Megan O'Doherty ****** 021-4911066
