Civil Design Engineer - Roads/Drainage Projects - Dun Laoghaire, Dublin Office/Project Location: Dun Laoghaire, Dublin Employment Type: Permanent Work Location: Office Based / Hybrid Pay: €35k - €55k per year Experience: 3+ years Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required Our client is Ireland's leading civil & structural engineering consultancy.
As a civil engineer you will be working as part of a team on the design of drainage, water and roads for a range of major projects.
Preparation of contract specifications and drawings Surveying and site inspections Preparation and Review of preliminary designs and reports using a variety of computer packages and subsequent preparation of detailed design drawings and specifications.
Contribute to the project team on a day to day basis Direct communication and meetings with Clients Implementing the company's ISO policies and procedures Assist in the Preparation of tenders Requirements Honours degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a design office environment.
It is a preference that candidates would have some experience/familiarity of working with the Civils 3D package.
An excellent understanding of the engineering principles behind drainage, roads and water system design.
Experience in compiling engineering planning documentation for major projects.
Experience of producing Flood Risk Assessments.
Familiarity with DMURS.
Traffic analysis experience is beneficial.
IT skills – including MS Word, Excel, basic AutoCAD skills + company design software packages including Causeway Flow, MicroDrainage, TRICs, Tuflow, HEC-RAS, EPANet.
Experience of producing Flood Risk Assessments.
Experience in the preparation of Traffic & Transportation Assessments and Mobility Management Plans.
