SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Associate with some experience in Fixed Asset reporting. This position will be a key member of a cross-functional, multi-national, accounting team responsible for the management of the end-to-end process for Fixed Asset accounting. This position supports the Director, EUCAN Controllership in undertaking both regular and ad hoc financial reporting activities and will have significant interaction with finance management and global accounting teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES
5. Process Fixed Assets transactions in accordance with procedures and defined timelines. Duties include setting up accurate fixed assets coding assignments and other required attributes, processing Construction in Process items and reconciliation of all Fixed Assets Clearing accounts against mass additions table in sub-ledger.
6. Month-end close of Fixed Assets sub-ledger duties including the analysis, recording, and reporting on fixed assets in accordance with local and US GAAP and the reconciliation between sub-ledgers and general ledgers.
7. Responsible for reporting fixed asset acquisitions, capitalisations, and dispositions within the accounting system in addition to the running of depreciation.
8. Review and approve all Fixed Asset purchase requisitions.
9. Work closely with the projects team on all areas, particularly: the accrual of projects in use, project cost reports and contractor cost allocation.
10. Support the year-end financial statement audit process and the SOX audit process.
11. Work closely with Finance colleagues both locally and globally, adhering to global deadlines.
12. Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, queries and EUCAN Finance activities as required.
EXPERIENCE
13. Minimum two years relevant experience in similar role is essential.
14. Knowledge of both US GAAP and IFRS and familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley and internal controls is desirable.
15. Understanding of ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
16. Excellent follow-through and communication skills and the ability to work independently in a complex and fast-paced environment.
17. Proven ability to develop effective working relationships.

18. Finance Degree / Accounting Technician / Part-Qualified Accountant
ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Heavy interaction with Finance Department management and staff, cost centre managers and external auditors. Regular contact with Finance staff in Dublin, Cork, EUCAN and the US.
