About the Role
Amicus has been engaged by a respected firm based in Meath to assist in recruiting a qualified Accountant.
The firm operates a hybrid scheme, with three days spent on-site and two days working from home. They also have a bonus scheme in place.
This represents a great opportunity for a practice-trained Accountant seeking a role in the Meath area, offering an excellent work-life balance.
The role will focus primarily on audit work (approximately 80%), therefore good auditing skills are essential.
The Job Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of clients
* Assist with the onboarding process for new clients
* Prepare financial statements for companies and individuals, including completion
* Prepare and complete audit financial statements
* Engage in advisory work, including due diligence, valuations, and business planning
* Prepare financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and companies
* Investigate issues on assignments to arrive at a solution or proposal
* Prepare technical briefs and checklists for staff and clients
* Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts for clients
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet accounting deadlines
* Recommend improvements in procedures to increase efficiency
* Mentor and develop junior members of staff
* Prepare VAT, RCT, and PAYE/PRSI returns
* Research and resolve technical queries from clients
* Review financial statements
* Prepare and submit CT1 and IXBRLs
About You
* A qualified Accountant with local practice experience
* Newly qualified to 2-3 years post-qualified experience
* Strong audit experience, preferably in small to medium-sized companies
* Good organisational skills
