Design Build Search is working with a multi-disciplinary consultancy who have opportunities for experienced town planners. Our client has offices in Dublin (HQ), Cork, and Carlow. The successful applicants could be based in either of these offices.
This position offers exposure to a broad range of areas within the company and the planning process including planning applications, preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports, planning appeals, and feasibility studies.
Skills / Qualifications
1. A recognised (IPI or RTPI) planning qualification;
2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience;
3. Strong knowledge of the Irish Planning system and environmental issues;
4. Experience of providing advice on planning matters;
5. Knowledge of planning, development, and environmental issues;
6. Ability to prepare reports and formulate recommendations;
7. Capability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, and other professionals as part of design teams, in multi-disciplinary services.
Responsibilities
1. Assisting in the co-ordination and delivery of projects, including preparation and submission of planning applications, preparation of planning appeals, planning appraisals, and planning policy reviews, analysis and submissions related to Development Plan / Local Area Plan preparation.
2. Delivering projects to deadlines, whilst working both as part of a team and on their own initiative.
3. Working collaboratively with colleagues and external consultants.
4. Ability to analyse planning policy and make recommendations to colleagues.
