Community Employment Supervisor Vacancy 39 Hours per Week | 1-Year Fixed Term Contract Location: Cara Cheshire Services, Phoenix Park, Dublin About the Role:
We are currently seeking a Community Employment Supervisor to join the team at Cara Cheshire Services in Phoenix Park, Dublin.
This full-time, 39 hours per week position is offered on a 1-year fixed-term contract.
The role is supported by a Community Employment Scheme under the Department of Social Protection, which funds CE personnel in our services.
As a CE Supervisor, you will manage a team of CE staff who assist with maintenance, driving, care, and activities for people with physical and neurological conditions.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the efficient management of human, financial, and material resources within the CE Scheme. Report to the sponsoring committee on the implementation and progress of the CE Programme. Support and coach CE participants, helping them gain skills, qualifications, and competencies in preparation for future employment. Manage administrative tasks related to the CE Scheme, including financial monitoring, programme and training monitoring, and staff coordination. Focus on the progression of CE participants, helping them achieve their full potential. Ensure the CE Programme is implemented in line with CE Operational Procedures and the goals of the Department of Social Protection. Skills and Experience: Minimum of 3 years' supervisory and people management experience, particularly in roles related to administration, project management, training, or other relevant fields. Knowledge and understanding of CE Programme delivery, project management, and the role of a CE Supervisor. Strong interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills. Experience working with vulnerable individuals and jobseekers, with the ability to direct, motivate, and mentor jobseekers. Competency in areas such as Business/Financial Administration, Training, Human Resources, People Management, and ICT (Microsoft Office). A third-level qualification (NFQ level 6 or higher) is desirable for the role. The ability to work effectively with the Sponsoring Organisation to implement the CE Programme.
