About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and the management of a team of 7-8 safety officers and advisors.
The successful candidate will be based at our Head Office in Mallow, Co. Cork and will be required on occasion to travel to branch offices across Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK for training and client meetings.
Due to extensive growth over the last number of years in EPS Group, there is a requirement for an additional member to the HSQE team, a highly varied and challenging role providing invaluable exposure to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Policy Development and Implementation Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures Ensuring policies comply with local regulations 2. Risk Assessment and Management Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards 3. Team Leadership Ability to lead and motivate a team Performance management and strong team delivery of objectives in line with EPS values 4. Training and Communication Devise training programs for employees on HSQE practices Ensure employees are aware of and understand safety protocols 5. Incident Management Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities 6. Regulatory Compliance Staying up-to-date with health and safety regulations Ensuring the organization complies with all relevant laws and standards 7. Client and Stakeholder Management Liaise with the client and regulatory bodies on health, safety, and environmental matters Provide regular updates and reports on safety performance and compliance metrics to senior leadership team Key Competencies and Skills: Proven experience as a HSQE Manager or in a similar role Strong knowledge of HSQE regulations and best practices Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lead and motivate a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and health and safety management software Competent report writing skills for submission to Senior Leadership team Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field Professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred Full Irish Driving Licence Compensation Package: Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunities for professional development and career growth CPD accredited employer A collaborative and supportive work environment Laptop or desktop and work mobile phone provided Flexible working options See company website for more information on the benefits of working in EPS Group We welcome speculative applications from individuals of all levels.
