About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and the management of a team of 7-8 safety officers and advisors.The successful candidate will be based at our Head Office in Mallow, Co. Cork and will be required on occasion to travel to branch offices across Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK for training and client meetings.Due to extensive growth over the last number of years in EPS Group, there is a requirement for an additional member to the HSQE team, a highly varied and challenging role providing invaluable exposure to the right candidate. Key Responsibilities:1. Policy Development and ImplementationDevelop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and proceduresEnsuring policies comply with local regulations 2. Risk Assessment and ManagementConduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazardsEnsure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards 3. Team LeadershipAbility to lead and motivate a teamPerformance management and strong team delivery of objectives in line with EPS values 4. Training and CommunicationDevise training programs for employees on HSQE practicesEnsure employees are aware of and understand safety protocols 5. Incident ManagementLead investigations into accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actionsMaintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities 6. Regulatory ComplianceStaying up-to-date with health and safety regulationsEnsuring the organization complies with all relevant laws and standards 7.
