Job Purpose:
Based out of Limerick, travel to client sites throughout the country to complete a range of environmental monitoring in line with relevant EN standards & guidance. Responsibilities include managing site contracts, scheduling emissions monitoring, and compiling reports. You will liaise with clients and provide feedback on monitoring results, operate in line with ISO 17025 quality management system, and ensure continuous improvement and efficient use of company time and resources.
Principal Accountabilities:
The Trainee/Technician is a starter/intermediate emission monitoring role requiring mentoring and supervision while attaining competence and compliance in relation to ISO 17025 in the following areas:
* Risk assessment training - sign off all risk assessments after completing work on at least 10 sites.
* Technical SOP training.
* Understanding principal atmospheric pollutants, their sources, and impact on the environment.
* Overview of Irish legislation and control of air pollutants.
* Health & Safety requirements and responsibilities pertaining to stack testing.
* Units of measurement and reference conditions.
* Theory and operation of equipment for measurement of flow, temperature, and pressure.
* Site review and risk assessment completion.
* General knowledge of extractive sampling and distinction between gas and particulate.
* Principles of isokinetic sampling.
* Preparation of equipment and construction of job files for on-site work.
* Driving to customer sites throughout the country.
* Completion of air, noise, water, and other types of monitoring as deemed necessary.
* Completion of reports and collection of data to ensure all jobs are fully traceable.
* Ensuring equipment/documentation and systems are fit for purpose.
* Provision of technical support to clients.
* Any other business associated with the company operations as requested by senior management.
Qualifications/ Skills:
Qualifications:
* Degree in Science/Engineering Discipline or proven technical/engineering/maintenance skills.
* Full clean driving licence.
Experience:
* Graduates or individuals with 1-2 years’ experience in the field.
* Familiarity with operating under a quality management system.
* Safe Pass, Manual handling, Working at heights, etc.
Knowledge:
* Management systems e.g. ISO 17025, 14001, 9001.
* Environmental regulations and standards.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €26,777.58 - €45,000.00 per year
