Role Overview
Responsible for the delivery of Automation and IT Systems as part of ongoing project and systems management processes. The role involves close collaboration with Automation and IT teams, stakeholders, and vendors/partners to ensure the successful delivery of systems within defined timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver automation systems in collaboration with other Automation Engineers, vendors, and partners.
2. Develop and/or review Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC) deliverables, adhering to organizational standards, including but not limited to:
3. Requirements Specifications
4. Requirements Traceability Matrix
5. Functional and Design Specifications
6. Code Reviews
7. Test Specifications/Test Scripts
8. Interface new automation equipment with existing site systems, including MES and PI Historian.
9. Ensure compliance with QA-IT and Computer Systems Validation requirements in all deliverables.
10. Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) to verify compliance with organizational standards.
11. Manage project schedules and document trackers to ensure timely and quality-controlled delivery.
12. Attend automation and program-related meetings, maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
13. Uphold compliance with global policies, procedures, and cGMP requirements.
14. Promote a culture of safety and compliance.
Core Competencies:
1. Proficient in Siemens and Rockwell PLCs, SCADA, and HMIs.
2. Familiarity with systems such as Siemens Desigo BAS, Siemens PM Server, OSISoft PI, RT Reports, FTView, and FactoryTalk is an advantage.
3. Basic understanding of Computer System Development Lifecycle (preferred).
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office and related job-specific applications.
5. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a similar regulated environment is desirable.
Qualifications:
1. Degree in Automation, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
