Description
Redvale Consultancy are looking for 2 x Full Time Site Based Environmental Health & Safety Professionals for prestigious residential construction sites in Drogheda and Kildare Town.
Working closely with our client’s PSCS management team, the role will involve the active monitoring, reporting and influencing of Environmental, Health and Safety performance across all site operations and trades.
A self-starter with a positive attitude, you will help coach and influence a broad spectrum of site personnel, enabling an open and honest environment where a positive health and safety culture can grow and flourish.
With an eye for detail, you will monitor and review environmental, health and safety documentation and processes, helping to ensure statutory compliance and the development of key performance indicators to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
You will compile and issue regular reports to Redvale Consultancy Management and our Client’s Management team.
Key Tasks:
* Perform a key enthusiastic and proactive role in the development of industry-leading Environmental Health and Safety practices on site.
* Engage with all stakeholders in a positive manner to ensure an effective team-based approach to all EHS matters.
* Monitor compliance with all current legislation in relation to EHS in the workplace, and provide updates on legislation and regulations, and their implementation, as appropriate.
* Assist in the review and development of EHS performance and management arrangements.
* Attend (and occasionally chair) EHS meetings and assist in developing action plans and programmes for the continuous improvement of EHS practices. Ensure that minutes are taken to circulate actions to appropriate personnel and track improvements.
* Develop and maintain positive working relationships with Client representatives, regulatory bodies, and appropriate groups and committees.
* Provide practical assistance and useful guidance to all stakeholders to ensure policies and procedures are clearly understood and implemented.
* Assist in the development and delivery of EHS training programmes as required.
* Conduct daily site inspections and regular EHS audits to monitor and record performance.
* Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the EHS management systems to meet external accreditation standards.
* Carry out incident investigations, maintaining proper records and liaising with regulatory authorities, when required.
* Coordinate and develop new and effective occupational health initiatives.
* Undertake any other reasonable duties as necessitated by your function.
Key Qualifications & Attributes
* Excellent communication skills, report writing, and presentation skills.
* Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience working in a similar role.
* Qualification in a relevant subject related to occupational health and safety management – for example, NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
* The ability to develop EHS systems which meet the standards expected by clients, external accreditation bodies, and reflect the nature of the Company, and the practical implementation within the workplace.
* Well organised, effective team player with an eye for detail and an ability to problem solve.
* Proficient in the use of IT systems and equipment.
