Job Purpose:
The MICE and Leisure Groups Sales Manager is responsible for driving Group Sales and Revenue for Cork International Hotel and The Metropole Hotel, focusing on Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions, as well as Leisure groups. The role involves developing new business, managing key accounts and events, and implementing revenue strategies to meet budgets, supporting the C&B Sales Offices.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
Proactively source and secure new group business in MICE and leisure markets for both hotels.
Build relationships with clients, event planners, and group organizers.
Conduct site visits and presentations to showcase facilities.
Develop proposals, contracts, and presentations to convert leads.
Participate in trade shows and industry events to promote the hotels.
Revenue Generation and Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with business goals.
Work with Revenue Management to achieve revenue targets.
Create reporting procedures for enquiry management and conversion tracking.
Present sales reports and forecasts.
Track KPIs such as leads, conversion rates, and occupancy.
Support office coverage and manage prospecting, forecasting, billing, and enquiry pipelines.
Client Relationship Management:
Act as the primary contact for Leisure Group clients.
Research and implement a new CRM system for Sales.
Develop relationships with repeat and high-value clients.
Conduct post-event evaluations and gather feedback.
Create packages and offers to attract and retain clients.
Event Coordination Development:
Collaborate with C&B and Operations teams for event execution.
Be present in hotel C&B Sales Offices weekly to support and maximize conversions.
Monitor bookings and support team training and development.
Collaboration and Cross-Property Coordination:
Work with marketing on targeted campaigns for Leisure Group sales.
Coordinate cross-property promotions and packages.
Mentor junior sales team members.
Performance Indicators:
Revenue targets including accommodation, F&B, and room hire.
Enquiry management and conversion rates.
Pipeline and lead generation.
Client retention and repeat business.
Market penetration and new client acquisition.
Competitor analysis and market insights.
Use of digital tools and AI programs.
Sustainable practices in bookings and events.
Accurate data tracking and reporting.
