About the Private Equity Investment Analyst roleWe have an exciting opportunity within our Private Equity Investment team. Goodbody Capital Partners is an active Irish focused Private Equity Investment Manager, investing both into funds that are active in Ireland and directly into Irish growth companies.
Business Accountabilities include:Complete initial investment review and screening of potential investment opportunitiesSupport other members of the team, primarily but not exclusively through financial analysisUndertake extensive financial modelling to support potential investmentsAssist in preparation and presentation of potential investmentsParticipate in execution and negotiation of new investmentsProvide ongoing monitoring of the investmentsHelp build relationships with intermediaries, third party funds, investors and investee companiesAssist in the recording and reporting of the investmentsBe a collaborative and positive team playerQualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree: Degree in business, finance or accounting or CFA/ ACA/ACCA is preferred.Knowledge of investment principles, accounting and tax2+ years of transaction experience in an investment, corporate development or corporate finance environmentDemonstrate superior numerical and financial skills and a strong understanding of financial statementsExcellent commercial awareness and project management skillsIdeal CharacteristicsAbility to operate independently in an environment of rapidly changing priorities.Demonstrate knowledge of the market with a strong eye for business development.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, drive and enthusiasm.Proven ability to gain the trust and confidence of both clients and colleagues.Goodbody is focused on helping our employees thrive, and we do this by bringing to life our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) 'Together we prosper'.
