Remote 12 month contract opportunity for a Project Manager experienced with Life Cycle Management within the Pharma Sector.
My client is seeking a Project Manager who will be entrusted with the scoping, planning, executing and transitioning of assigned projects within the Value Chain Management organization of Product Management. The position will require leading multiple cross-functional, complex projects, prioritized by the Value Chain Leaders and the Senior Leadership team, within the various Therapeutic Areas of Product Management.
The Project Manager serves as the primary contact and authority within the Product Management group for assigned projects, and, in collaboration with the Value Chain Leader(s), executes his/her respective projects in-line with business and supply chain strategies and targets to achieve financial and business-related results.
The Project Manager shall lead specific LCM (Life Cycle Management) projects with possibility of technical transfer and portfolio optimization projects (delisting, divestment, & simplification) within the VCM PMO project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver on the project from initiation to delivery, ensuring alignment with business and Supply Chain objectives.
2. Act as a senior member of the Project Delivery Team and QA the projects being led by the Project Manager's / external parties to ensure sufficient quality and progress is being made.
3. Set and track project milestones; manage any impact assessments and realignment of schedules.
4. Manage expectations with key stakeholders across all business units.
5. Effective communications at all levels from Executive to Team level; strong verbal and written skills required
6. Develop and maintain all necessary project documentation including project plans, risk registers, as well as carrying out Budget management, and reporting.
7. Monitor and report on project progress to all stakeholders and governance bodies
Skills, Attributes & Experience
8. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in leading large scale initiatives in a fast-paced work environment with strong analytical ability, with a background in the Supply Chain space.
9. Relevant 3rd level qualification in Business, IT or related discipline
10. Minimum of 5 years of experience leading large scale initiatives as a Project Manager.
11. Project Management Certification (PMP, Prince2, CAPM etc) required
12. Strong people team and people management, communication and presentation skills.
13. Ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
14. Outcome driven with a focus on benefits realisation
15. Experienced and comfortable working across multiple projects within a programme management office
16. Demonstrated coaching and influencing skills with an ability to motivate and bring people with you on the journey
17. Strong organisational skills including the ability to multitask, and attention to detail.
