Join us as a IP Network Domain Manager Three Ireland is looking for a highly motivated IP Network Domain Manager to take on full end-to-end responsibility for the two IP Network Domains listed below: Enterprise IT Automation & Cloud The overall objective for the IP Network team is to achieve efficient, high quality and cost-effective delivery, while maintaining network stability and meeting growth and performance demands. What else it involves: Manage highly skilled IP engineers with responsibility for the Strategy, Architecture, Design, Implementation and Performance on Three`s IP Network. This team will ensure our Network is designed to the highest standards and consistent with best industry practice. Lead the evolution of a new agile way of working IP model to allow efficient, flexible and effective delivery of business change while maintaining network stability and meeting capacity and performance demands. This will be coupled with innovative ways to automate and scale Three's IP network as it expands. Use in-depth technical knowledge of the mobile industry to play a leadership role in the formulation of strategic/bespoke IP solutions. Act as a role model and provide direction, leadership and strategy to the IP teams motivating them to high levels of engagement. Mentor and develop team members and drive to set high standards and develop a culture of achievement and high performance. Responsibility for developing/maintaining IP Domain roadmaps, including capacity and performance dashboards and effective lifecycle management within the IP Network that align with IP architectural strategy and Three's company goals. Participate as a major stakeholder in 1, 3 and 5-year portfolio and capex/opex budget planning. Working with Operational Teams to develop efficient processes for the implementation of the IP Network strategy, identifying high risk changes and developing deployment plans that mitigate any risks identified. Assist Operational teams in the successful resolution of major incidents in the IP and Security Network, providing technical guidance and ensuring the appropriate resources are assigned where necessary. Identifying and providing feedback to Operational teams on the stability and reliability of the IP Network, providing strategic input on resolution actions. Participate as a major stakeholder and decision maker in the necessary IP forums, e.g. IPRB, IPDB, etc. Provide a smooth handover of network architecture, configuration changes and monitoring into IP Operations. Establishing a strong working relationship with other design and operational teams (IT, Core, RAN, Service Delivery, Data Centre) to share IP design practices and processes and learn from experiences. Working closely with other teams within the Technology Directorate to ensure a coherent delivery of network and services within the company. Ensure IP projects are sufficiently resourced through delivery demand forecasting and resource planning. Effective lifecycle management and management of spares. Work closely with the InfoSec Team to ensure the IP project deliverables meet the Security Policy. Act as a champion to raise the profile of IP throughout the organisation. Provide accurate timeline and effort scoping (AIA/DNA) for delivery of business-critical projects and ensure IP projects are delivered in line with the project plan and within budget. Produce and maintain high quality reference documentation including topology diagrams. Develop new and/or optimise existing processes to align with a new agile way of working, e.g. ORR, AIS, CRQs, etc. Working with the IP Performance Consultant and IP Architects to shape and lead the development of a best-in-class IP Network. Managing the IP engineers by assigning/scheduling work, approving leave, training staff, review work assignments, develop performance expectations and conduct formal performance evaluations. Ensuring the IP Network is designed to the highest standards, instilling a culture of excellence and collaboration. Participating in and evaluating RFPs for services and technical solutions. Ensuring Change and Problem Management processes are followed and drive initiatives regarding improvements to existing tools & processes. Ensuring Problem Tickets created as a result of a P1 incident are assigned and resolved timely. Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and implement improvements. Ensure that EOL risks are accurately represented and maintained in the IP Risk Register and have a clear mitigation strategy by being mapped to projects as part of the yearly portfolio exercise. Remain abreast of current and emerging industry trends, technologies, and best practices; identify opportunities for efficiencies and make recommendations for improvements. Participate as a major stakeholder in the evolution of the IP network DC strategy. Participation in Group led security audit activities ensuring a clear plan to mitigate any identified concerns. Participate in activities that focus on improving Customer experience through addressing faults or implementing new initiatives. Migrating standard repeatable tasks to automated playbooks. Expanding and developing the IP Networks cloud deployments ensuring alignment between cloud and on-premise architectures (zoning). The skills we are looking for: A Degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Technically strong in routing, security and DPI technologies and vendors - including Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Sandvine, Arbor and F5. Proven experience within the telecommunications industry in a network operations or engineering role. Previous people management experience including mentoring and performance management beneficial. Excellent communication skills, confident and assured in communicating IP network plans and strategy at functional and management level. Strong ability to understand business needs and translate them into technology deliverables. Proven track record in delivering complex projects, striving for continuous improvement, and driving efficiencies, whilst maintaining high levels of Customer satisfaction. Outstanding relationship management skills with an ability and willingness to work with, lead and influence people at all levels across the organisation.
