Job Title: Accounts Manager
We are partnering with a well-established solicitors firm in Kildare to recruit for the permanent position of Accounts Manager, a full-time onsite role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of client and office banking, including online banking payments, cheque payments, lodgements, recording bank transactions, and reconciling banks.
* Maintain petty cash records.
* Handle accounts payable, including supplier invoices, payments, and queries.
* Manage accounts receivable, including client invoicing and credit control.
* Maintain client matter ledgers in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
* Prepare compliance reports in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
* Process staff expenses.
* Handle payroll, including ROS submissions and reporting.
* Manage VAT & VIES returns, including ROS submissions.
* Record and reconcile Land Registry, Court Franking, and CRO accounts.
* Submit Revenue Commissioners Stamp Duty returns.
* Supervise Accounts Assistant and outsourced bookkeeping support where required.
* Manage the Nominal Ledger, including processing journal entries.
* Prepare ad hoc reports for management.
* Liaise with external financial advisors and auditors.
Requirements:
* Accounting Technician or similar accounting qualification.
* 2-3 years' experience in a legal accounts position.
* Knowledge of Legal Accounting Systems, preferably Keyhouse Case Management & Sam Accounts System.
* Familiarity with online banking processes.
* Knowledge of solicitors accounts regulations.
* A proactive and professional attitude.
* Capable of working independently.
* Ability to interact with staff members at all levels.
