Your new role
1. Providing desktop support, email, remote and telephone support for all users
2. Hardware and Software upgrades on all related equipment.
3. Address network issues across a variety of technologies and platforms.
4. Ensuring the implementation and support of security standards, as required.
5. Support of laboratory hardware and software-based applications.
6. Providing support for wireless access accounts setup.
7. Support of User Access rights and Permissions for programs, directories and network shares.
8. Provide support for Data Recovery in the case of accidental data loss or hardware failure of storage media.
9. Installing maintaining and replacing IT peripherals.
10. Providing ongoing documentation of fixes and procedures for all issues.
11. Supporting Inventory Management, using the IT Asset Register.
12. Ensuring migration of operating systems Institute-wide.
13. VPN installation and remote access configuration of user accounts.
14. Support for email accounts on smart/mobile phones for all users.
15. Supporting Audio/Visual/IT equipment in the organisation conference rooms.
16. Fielding and networking switch port patching.
17. Ensuring all activities are compliant with the organisation's Quality Management system.
18. Ensure all activities are compliant with the required Health and Safety standards.
19. Carry out any additional duties as may reasonably be required within the general scope and level of the post.
What you'll need to succeed
20. Must be currently living in Ireland.
21. Flexible to work onsite in Cork.
22. Currently hold an EEA passport or a valid Stamp 4/1G visa. (Visa must be valid for duration of contract).
