Our client is recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their organisation based in Dublin City Centre. This role offers a hybrid working structure. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Finance Manager, the candidate will play a role supporting the finance function in day-to-day activities. The role will require the candidate to provide support to the Finance Team so they can focus on the testing and implementation of a new financial management system. The candidate will ensure timely and accurate completion of day, week and month end activities during this time of testing/transition. The candidate shall undertake tasks including those listed below to the highest standards. Core Responsibilities: ? Support the Finance Manager and Fare Revenue Accountant on day-to-day tasks; ? Assist in the preparation, interrogation and consolidation of the monthly management accounts; ? Ensure timely and accurate completion of month end tasks; ? Review of fare revenue reconciliations; ? Continuous improvement of financial reporting processes; ? Ensure high-quality and up-to-date procedure documents are maintained; ? Provide analysis and support to the Finance Manager on any ad hoc projects; ? Maintain a robust control environment ensuring continuous improvement of processes and escalation of risks and issues to Finance Manager in a timely manner; ? Coordination with various stakeholders including both finance and non-finance personnel; ? Maintain open communications with Finance management, keeping them informed of any relevant issues or queries. Other Responsibilities: ? Support system development and upgrade within the finance function; ? Support process improvement and development of finance controls; ? Support improvement of business analysis and reporting; and ? Other ad-hoc duties as required. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: a) Have a professional accountancy qualification and be admitted to membership of a recognised professional body of accountants; b) Have a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience; c) Demonstrate robust organizational and time management skills; d) Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills. e) Demonstrate strong attention to detail; and f) The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
