Role/ Department:
The Technical Coordinator supports the Team Leader in ensuring operational efficiency with respect to workflow distribution and ensuring the effective use of staff resources. Working as part of a dedicated Reconciliations Team, the individual will be responsible for the execution and oversight of reconciliations on a daily basis. The individual will ensure that all client service standards and regulatory requirements are met together with working with partners in different jurisdictions.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
* Work with contacts in Transfer Agency to resolve queries at risk of missing agreed timelines.
* Proactively keep the Investor/ Team Lead and Client Service Manager up to date on queries that have been escalated that require additional time to resolve.
* Build strong relationships with the investors, clients, and internal Transfer Agency partners.
* Analyse data from internal systems to identify opportunities for coaching, training, and service enhancements.
* Carry out quality checks and provide coaching and support to team members as required in line with the quality function findings.
* Maintain a thorough knowledge of the operational team procedures and processes e.g., via huddles, regular meetings, and procedure reviews.
* Provide assistance and coaching to new members of the team.
* Process and quality check a wide range of reconciliations transactions through internal systems, to regulatory and client standards.
* Provide input to process changes which would result in greater operational efficiency.
* Coordinate transfer of work between locations.
* Carry out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact.
* May manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees.
* Technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas.
* Delivers a work product that requires less revision.
* Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions.
* Support the Team Leader with respect to workflow distribution and ensuring the effective use of staff resources.
Skills/ Qualifications:
* Previous Financial Services experience is desirable.
* Knowledge of Transfer Agency operations.
* Experience of client/investor servicing.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Ability to work to set deadlines.
* Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word). Attention to detail and strong accuracy.
