Summary of RoleThis role will support the HR function to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the business. The HR Advisor will be responsible for providing a wide range of high quality, accurate and timely HR advice, administrative and support services to ensure the delivery of people initiatives, projects and reporting activities. You will need to develop a clear understanding of how the organisation operates its business requirements and commercial objectives. Please note this role will be based in Dundalk.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding including but not limited to; preparation of contracts, statements of employments, social welfare form completion, exit interviews and offboarding documentation.Implement a wide range of policies, procedures and processes to support effective people management practices.Provide guidance and coaching to managers and support them through their HR matters in accordance with HR policies and procedures, best practice and employment legislation.Be a culture steward - supporting the development of the company’s culture; ‘One PCI’ approach. Facilitate employee engagement experiences for new and existing employees.Deliver a range of HR advice, support activities in line with agreed standards and the need to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.Support on employee relations cases e.g., investigations and attendance at disciplinary hearings.Support with site’s absence management including the recording of absence, managing absence data, providing reports, supporting managers with their team’s absence levels, organising and participating in absence meetings and case management. Ensuring that actions are followed up, information recorded, and meetings arranged.Support and coach managers on performance management issues and processes.Support talent acquisition activity for the site up to and including the successful on-boarding of new employees and delivery of the company induction in the absence of L&D manager.Identify areas for development and opportunities for improvement with regards to the HR function and service. Promoting continuous improvement principles. Support/lead on HR projects to deliver business improvements.Support CSR activity and represent PCI at external events promoting PCI as an employer of choice e.g., careers events, working with schools and colleges.Produce HR metrics and reports to support the business in driving performance.Attend seminars and training workshops as part of Continual Professional Development.Ensure safe work practices are being always followed, report any near misses immediately to the EHS Department.Ensure ongoing compliance with GMP in all practices, recording of events and processes.Ensure compliance with all learnings from all GMP training events.Carry out various other additional tasks that may be required from time to time in accordance with the overall goal of the company.Knowledge / Skills & Experience Essential:Bachelor degree or equivalent in HR, Psychology or Business Management or related discipline.CIPD or equivalent accreditation.Minimum 1- 3 years of HR Admin/Advisor/Generalist experience required.Previous experience of working in a high-volume regulated manufacturing environment advantageous.Working knowledge of Employment Law and Practice is essential.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS – preferably Workday.Ability to work on own initiative and be pro-active.Meticulous, well-organised and able to work independently to meet deadlines.Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Fluent English essential.Strong and effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees across all levels of the organisation.Maintains levels of high confidentiality and discretion.Desirable:Demonstrable relevant experience within a generalist HR environment.Experience of working within a multi-national organisation is beneficial.Commercial experience, in particular pharmaceuticals is desirable.Experience of process improvement is desirable.
