Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract – 12 months; Full time
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director, Data Protection and having key responsibilities within the Data Protection Team, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and dynamic team with a global remit.
* Work with business stakeholders to complete and monitor data protection assessments (including Data Protection Impact Assessments/Data Transfer Impact Assessments)
* Identify, prioritise, and work towards mitigation of data protection risks identified through assessments
* Administration, development and enhancement of the OneTrust application
* Upstream regulatory monitoring and assessment of data protection laws and guidance, conducting gap analysis against data protection policies and procedures and working with the business to address any gaps
* Assist with the assessment of personal data breaches and provide guidance to the business in line with legal requirements
* Assist with responding to data subject rights requests
* Compile training materials in relation to Data Protection, administering roll out and track to completion
* Provide input to board reports, committee reports, forums, policies and procedures, as well as any adhoc materials as required
* Contribute to the drafting, maintenance and distribution of privacy notices, sub-processor lists, data protection policies and procedures
* Help respond to client / regulator information requests – Request for Proposals, Due Diligence Questionnaires, ad-hoc requests, audits etc.
Qualifications
* Have a relevant degree or other third level qualification
* Have demonstrable experience of working in data protection for a minimum of three years, preferably in a Compliance or Risk department and/ or Financial Services
* Experience with OneTrust application (privacy suite) required
* Relevant data protection certification such as IAPP CIPP/E and/or CIPM
* Demonstrable knowledge and experience with data protection laws such as GDPR. Experience of other laws such as PIPEDA a bonus.
* Exposure to artificial intelligence and mitigating risks a bonus.
* Ability to communicate effectively across a diverse audience.
* Working diligently and to a high standard, maintaining high integrity, trust and confidentiality
* Strong organisational/ planning skills with excellent attention to detail and an ability to work within a team and independently prioritising tasks as required to meet deadlines
* Track record in writing and improving policy, process and other documentation related to data protection
* Capability to exercise sound judgment where matters pertaining to your role require escalation
