As we continue to rapidly grow our Foodservice business in Europe a unique role has been created to support the acceleration our sustainable nutrition strategy and sustainability engagement with key customers – demonstrating our thought leadership, unique expertise and winning sustainability propositions and capabilities.
This role will require a high level of collaboration across all levels of the business, an obsession to exceed our customer expectations and passion for delivering a positive sustainable impact for People, Planet and Society – all while working in a fast-paced dynamic market.
What will you be doing?
1. Working with the Foodservice Strategic Marketing Director to shape and drive the sustainability strategy for the Foodservice business in Europe.
2. Lead the sustainability engagements with our key customers and the development of the sustainability propositions that meet their needs.
3. Leveraging the nutritional expertise and tools at Kerry support our commercial and marketing teams to develop propositions that support our customer’s nutritional charters, while also delivering a positive sustainable impact.
4. Working with our commercial teams to support the analysis on customer SKU carbon emissions and sustainability questionnaires.
5. Working with the Brand Marketing team to continue to evolve our brand’s sustainability propositions to create a real point of difference in the marketplace versus our competitive set.
6. Partnering with the Brand Marketing team to create new sustainability programmes – such as the launch of How Good platform and a European social sustainability programme for the DVG brand.
7. Lead all internal sustainability communications – raising the awareness of our wins and progress with customers to the wider business.
8. Lead the roll out of important new sustainability tools and best practices within the FS BU, educating the Foodservice wider business and supporting the adoption of these tools.
9. Lead the tracking and analysis of the sustainability progress within the Foodservice BU.
10. Be the ‘Foodservice Sustainability Expert’ – educating the FS business on new regulations and the implications for our customers.
11. Connect regularly with the central sustainability team to represent Foodservice Europe in their forums and ensure knowledge, developments and implications are being shared.
What do you need to be successful?
12. Bachelors or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Marketing, Nutrition or related field.
13. Previous sustainability, marketing, nutrition, or business development experience
14. Experience in B2B or food ingredient industry.
15. Demonstrate a good level of knowledge of the fundamentals of sustainable business practice.
16. Excellent communications skills and a talent for sharing information with relevant stakeholders.
17. Ability to quickly grasp and become proficient in new concepts, ideas, technologies, markets, tools and ways of working.
18. An enthusiastic attitude towards effectively interacting with many different functions and serving as an active participant on a multi-national, multi-functional team.
19. Ability to manage multiple projects from inception to completion, including the management of multiple stakeholders (internal and external)
20. Good capability in applying quantitative and qualitative analysis methodologies, interpreting and presenting findings in a clear, concise manner, including the creation and use of tables, charts, and graphics to summarize results.
21. Experience and creativity in preparing and hosting successful customer engagements. Skills include meticulous preparation, proposition development, managing deadlines and expectations.
22. A passion for actively engaging across the business, building partnerships based on trust and integrity.
23. The ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes.
24. Building capability in thinking strategically and acting tactically.
