Morgan McKinley are delighted to be working in partnership with a globally recognised company to recruit a Senior Buyer to join an their purchasing team.
Joining a growing team, this Senior Buyer will focus on supporting the purchasing team, supplier management and meeting customer service expectations. Based in Wexford with hybrid working options, the position would suit an enthusiastic supply chain professional who is looking to take the next step in their career.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Support the Purchasing Team with all purchasing related activity
2. Managing the operational performance of all suppliers from PO placement to Invoicing.
3. Monitor vendor on time delivery in line with agreed delivery dates.
4. Management of all day to day aspects of Vendor relationship.
5. Complete supplier performance reviews on a monthly and quarterly basis.
6. New vendor set up for new and transitioning products.
7. Creating a fast and agile supply chain
8. Participation in global and local projects as representative of purchasing function
9. Demonstrate strong leadership skills to build a strong team who are clear on their responsibilities and are measured to KPI's
Key Requirements:
10. 4+ years supply chain or purchasing experience
11. Strong SAP knowledge and expertise
12. Proven track record in Vendor management with demonstrated negotiation & influencing skills.
13. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate and influence with all levels of the organization
14. Bachelor of Business Studies or equivalent primary degree, IIPM Certification and/or APICS Certified
