About this role:
This position is based in our PartnerRe Dublin office and reports to the Team Leader of Reinsurance Accounting Non-Life in Paris. The Reinsurance Accounting Department handles premiums and claims accounts received from reinsurance brokers and cedents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Verify, process, monitor, and analyze assigned broker/cedent reinsurance facultative and treaty portfolios
* Identify, verify, and process regular accounts, commutation accounts, cash losses, profit & loss calculations, and year-end related documents against treaty terms and contractual conditions
* Cedant premium and loss reserve handling, cedant statistic analysis, and Letter of Credit & Pledged Securities handling
* Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of financial reports
* Collaborate closely with Claims Department, Payments & Collections Department, Underwriting Administration Department, and other functional areas
About You:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following background, skills, and mindset:
* Experience in reinsurance accounting or a related field is advantageous
* Excellent technical and analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making
* Advanced Excel skills, with good knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
* Proficiency in eMessaging (electronic messaging) and the reinsurance data system SICS is beneficial
* Strong communication and interaction skills
* Fluency in English (verbal and written), with additional languages being a plus
* Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of organization and attention to detail
