We are seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our organization as a volunteer team-lead video/audio editor. As part of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the editing and enhancing content for our video projects and podcast episodes. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and professionalism of our multimedia productions. This is a remote volunteer position, and you will collaborate with our content creators and other video/audio editors to deliver engaging and visually appealing material.
Our ministry currently produces 1 podcast and video approximately 15-25 minutes in length and approximately 10 60-second ‘shorts’ per week. Visit:https://walkinginstepwithgod.org/messages/and select any message to review examples of video and podcast content.
Responsibilities:
1. Video Editing:
o Edit raw video footage to create engaging and impactful video content.
o Trim and rearrange video clips to maintain a coherent storyline or message.
o Add and synchronize audio, music, sound effects, and visual effects as necessary.
o Enhance video quality, adjust colors, and ensure visual consistency.
o Incorporate graphics, text overlays, and animations when required.
o Ensure proper formatting and compression for various platforms and devices.
o Collaborate with content creators to understand the desired narrative and style.
2. Audio Editing:
o Edit and clean audio recordings, removing background noise, clicks, and pops.
o Enhance audio quality, ensuring clarity and consistent volume levels.
o Add intros, outros, and transitions to podcast episodes.
o Incorporate music and sound effects to enhance the overall listening experience.
o Apply equalization, compression, and other audio effects as needed.
3. Organization and File Management:
o Organize and maintain an efficient file structure for all video and audio assets.
o Ensure proper labeling and version control to streamline the editing process.
o Collaborate with team members to manage project timelines and deadlines.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with content creators, producers, and other team members.
o Attend virtual meetings or communicate regularly to discuss project requirements.
o Incorporate feedback and make revisions in a timely manner.
o Provide creative input and suggest improvements to enhance the final product.
Team Leadership:
* Lead and manage the video and audio editing team to ensure cohesive and efficient workflows.
* Assign tasks and projects to team members based on their skills and expertise.
* Mentor and provide guidance to editors to foster their professional growth.
* Monitor project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
Qualifications:
* Must have access to an up to date and licensed copy of Adobe Premiere Pro 2024.
* Familiarity with audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity, etc.).
* Strong creative and storytelling skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to maintain visual and audio consistency.
* Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Access to the necessary equipment and software for remote editing.
* A portfolio or samples of previous video and audio editing work is preferred but not required.
