The Cost Management Accountant plays a vital role in Aviva Life and Pensions Ireland's Financial Performance team.
This key member reports directly to the Head of Performance, working closely with the wider business to manage cost accounting processes, ensure accurate financial reporting, and provide insightful analysis for strategic decision-making.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Support the Head of Performance in creating and presenting cost plans.
* Generate regular reports and insights on cost variances, trends, and performance indicators to inform strategic decisions.
* Collaborate with finance teams and the wider business to develop precise financial forecasts, business plans, and budgets.
* Analyse trends, monitor expenses, and recommend actions to improve efficiency.
* Lead reviews of Service Level Agreements to identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
* Cultivate a robust risk and control environment through strong documentation and risk management practices.
Requirements:
* Professional accounting qualification is essential.
* Experience in a similar role within the life insurance industry is desirable.
* Advanced analytical and computer skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Demonstrated ability to lead projects and work independently.
