We have an exciting opportunity for an Own Brand & Innovation Manager to join our Trading Team.
Reporting to the Category Manager, the Own Brand & Innovation Manager will work with the Category, Sales and Marketing teams to devise and implement an appropriate own brand strategy for our Wholesale division.
Driving our ambition to be a World Class Food & Beverage business, they will anticipate food trends and work with the trading team to deliver trends ahead of our competitors.
The key responsibilities of the role are (not limited to): Oversee the commercial planning for all own brand products.Liaise with our Group product development team on a regular basis to ensure that our OB plans are clearly communicated, managed and prioritised.Liaise with our QA team to ensure all supplier and product audits are compliant.Work with Trading & Marketing teams to design and redesign OB packaging.Monitor and report on financial and operational performance of own brand and initiate corrective actions as appropriate to ensure business targets are achieved.Deliver Trend and Innovation forums to share insights across Trading, Sales & Operations teams.Review Competitor in ROI/UK to monitor catering & retail trends to develop plans around innovation and NPD.Support our customer trade events & presentations.Plan & manage our Greenshoots initiative, supporting smaller Irish suppliers to the Food Service and Retail markets.Experience, Skills & Education Experience of building and delivering plans aligned to a strategy.Experience working in a fast-moving and pressured environment and can manage projects on time and to budget/forecast.Strong analytical and numerical capabilities and can plan and make recommendations based on data and insight.Experience in buying or trading positions.Good negotiator, able to satisfy varying needs in the face of conflicting demands.Strong planning and prioritizing skills to deliver plans to deadline.High level of customer focus and can work collaboratively with others.Ability to anticipate next steps and future risks and opportunities within your area, taking actions to address them in the absence of a given structure.Effective communicator and can build trust to execute an agenda.Knowledge of the Irish and UK food industry a distinct advantage.Sound category management experience in the retail/wholesale trade.The location for this role is flexible across Ireland.
Musgrave operates a Work Smart hybrid working model where you can alternate your time between connecting and collaborating in the office and working remotely.
Occasional business travel to other locations will also be required.
