Job Description
The Head of Finance is a critical role responsible for the financial well-being of the company, reporting directly to the CEO.
This position oversees the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
The Head of Finance will chair the Asset & Liability Committee, sit on the Compliance Committee and Executive Risk Committee, and report to the Board and Audit Committee.
The Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a team responsible for financial reporting, tax, and treasury functions.
* Develop, coordinate, and maintain the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and Recovery Plan.
* Maintain and enhance financial models to support ICAAP and Recovery Plan delivery.
* Prepare and file prudential reports for a MiFID investment firm.
* Manage recovery and resolution plans.
* Stay up-to-date with regulations, best practices, and market developments affecting registered investment firms.
* Coordinate and manage the statutory audit.
* Provide financial performance analysis and risk management advice to the CEO.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Hold a recognized accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
* Have 10+ years of experience in a Senior Finance role, preferably as Head of Finance at a PCF-11 regulated entity.
* Demonstrate extensive experience in regulatory finance roles at MiFID investment firms.
* Show knowledge of equities, exchange-traded derivatives, and treasury operations.
* Have sound knowledge of tax compliance within Ireland and experience managing external banking partners.
* Possess desirable knowledge of cash investments and Money Market Funds.
