Job Title: Regional Sales Manager – Midlands/South East
The Regional Sales Manager will report to the National Sales Manager and be responsible for generating new sales from existing and new customers. The candidate will also be accountable for retaining our existing customer base of FMCG retail outlets and SMEs nationwide.
To succeed in this role, it is essential that you are capable of working independently to find and create leads, and have a proactive and enthusiastic approach to making sales.
You will work as part of a nationwide sales team to manage and grow key relationships, identify new sales opportunities with SMEs, and ensure excellent service is delivered at all times.
The role involves working on various campaigns primarily focused on new business acquisition and occasionally rolling out new products to existing and new customers nationwide as they become available.
Key Responsibilities:
* Meet quarterly sales targets set by the National Sales Manager, reviewed regularly.
* Contact new customers nationwide to sell financial products from our catalogue.
* Sourcing sales leads through research and phone contact, while gaining referrals from the existing customer base.
* Growing sales of merchant services and other product lines as demand necessitates, including new products when available.
* Maintaining accurate records of daily sales and customer service calls.
* Producing timely reports on sales progress to management, covering company, team, and individual performance.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years proven sales experience.
* Experience in the payment services industry is desirable.
* Demonstrated technical selling skills and product knowledge across all areas listed.
* A good understanding of the financial services market is advantageous.
* Familiarity with the sales process for low-margin, high-volume products into the convenience retail market.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
* Self-motivated and proactive.
* A relevant 3rd-level qualification is desirable.
