Sustainability Consultant/Engineer
Location:
Kilkenny office with opportunities for Hybrid/remote work for the right candidate. Some on-site work may be required.
Experience:
2+ years desirable
Responsibilities:
1. We are seeking a LEED assessor to join our Kilkenny-based sustainability consulting practice.
2. You will primarily be responsible for LEED certification projects, with the opportunity to advance onto other certification projects such as BREEAM/WELL/HPI/Fitwel/Edge projects.
3. Complete LEED Pre-Assessments with new clients to ascertain their potential score.
4. Educate and advise the design team on the requirements to achieve points within LEED.
5. Review and approve any evidential documentation and answer any design team questions.
6. Be proficient in using the LEED project portal to upload projects for certification.
7. Have a great understanding and knowledge around the fundamentals of the LEED process.
8. Carry out site visits to confirm required measures have been implemented and collect evidence as required.
9. Complete LEED BD+C Assessments on commercial projects.
10. Prepare thorough, high quality, technical reports which in a clear concise manner, communicate any issues and conclusions.
11. Be able to take a high-level initial project/work brief which is successfully managed and converted into a completed project that meets the demands and criteria of client and original specification.
Requirements:
1. Degree level qualification in Built environment/Building Services/Sustainability.
2. 2+ Years working in a similar role - not essential.
3. Accredited LEED AP.
4. Basic technical, mechanical & electrical knowledge.
5. Ability to identify, manage and measure KPI's.
6. familiarity with energy and environmental performance: conceptual energy modelling, daylight analysis, energy audits, renewable energy and rainwater harvesting systems, etc.
7. Excellent report writing and communication skills.
8. Experience with LEED BD+C projects.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
10. Self-Motivated.
11. Ability to work to tight deadlines.
12. Familiar with the LEED Online Portal & certification process.
13. Proven list of completed projects worked on.
Desirable:
1. Experience with BREEAM or other certification systems.
2. Experience with thermal comfort and energy modelling using IES.
3. Experience with LEED Commissioning Authority Role.
4. Experience with OneClick LCA.
