The Senior Data Governance Analyst is responsible for ensuring data consistency and quality across our sales systems, from data collection to the data warehouse. This role involves driving initiatives to clean and maintain data, including account hierarchies, account classifications, sales representative assignments, and agency-brand relationships. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to communicate initiatives and obtain necessary approvals, while also collaborating with teams to improve processes around data entry and collection. Additionally, the Senior Data Governance Analyst will enhance documentation of our internal data across different systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Consistency and Quality:
1. Ensure data consistency and accuracy across all sales systems and data warehouses.
2. Monitor data quality metrics and implement data governance best practices.
Data Cleanup Initiatives:
3. Lead efforts to clean up existing data, including account hierarchies, classifications, sales rep assignments, and agency-brand relationships.
4. Identify and resolve data quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
5. Work with stakeholders to communicate data initiatives and obtain necessary approvals for changes.
6. Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to support data governance and stewardship activities.
Process Improvement:
7. Collaborate with teams to tighten processes around data entry and data collection.
8. Develop and implement best practices for data management and governance.
Documentation and Training:
9. Improve documentation of internal data across different systems, ensuring clear and accessible records.
10. Provide training and support to teams on data governance policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
11. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
12. 5+ years of experience in data management, data stewardship, or a related field.
13. Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data management principles.
14. Experience with sales systems and data warehousing solutions.
15. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
16. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
17. Experience in a similar role within a fast-paced industry.
18. Familiarity with data visualisation tools and data management software.
19. Knowledge of SQL and other data querying languages.
