Grade IV Patient Accounts Permanent & Full-Time (35 hours per week) ?Finance Department We are currently looking to hire a Grade IV Officer to join our Finance team here in the Rotunda.
The successful candidate will be working alongside a team of dedicated Finance professionals in a collaborative, collegial and learning environment.
Based in the city centre and on the grounds of the oldest continuously operating maternity hospital in the world, you will have the opportunity to work with colleagues across all professional disciplines and become part of the Rotunda family.
The post holder is a key resource and support to the Finance Department in managing the delivery and maintenance of the accounts receivable function, working closely with our Private and Semi-Private Clinics.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities 1.Daily invoicing to strict deadlines, processing credit notes and issuing reminders.
* Liaising with our admission team to ensure accurate invoicing through accurate admission data collection.
* Processing all invoices and insurance policy forms for the Paediatrician Group.
* Processing receipts taken by phone, in person and direct debits.
* Assisting in end of day cash balancing procedures.
* Assisting in answering patient queries by phone and in person.
* Liaising with consultants to ensure consultant insurance policy form requirements are met in a timely fashion.
* Ensures that the Claimsure system is updated accurately daily with delivery details, patient insurance policy signatures and policy data which requires visiting patients on wards and sending forms via post after discharge.
* Submission of Private Insurance Claims and assisting in the operation of the insurance direct payment system.
* Other duties appropriate to the post as assigned from time to time by the Line Manager/Financial Operations Manager/Financial Controller.

Qualifications and Experience:
Essential: Working knowledge of Private Patient charges and pathways.
Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills including the ability to work as a team member.
The ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
Qualities of integrity and diplomacy, with the ability to discuss sensitive matters with confidence with patients and staff.
Desirable:
Experience in a similar role in the Health Sector.
Experience using IPMS and Claimsure Software.
Previous experience working in a similar role in the Health Sector And Have satisfactory experience in an office under the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies, or a body which provides services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004 at a level not lower than that of Grade IV (or equivalent).
Or Have obtained a pass (Grade D) in at least five subjects from the approved list of subjects in the Department of Education Leaving Certificate Examination, including Mathematics and English or Irish1.
Candidates should have obtained at least Grade C on higher level papers in three subjects in that examination.
Or Have completed a relevant examination at a comparable standard in any equivalent examination in another jurisdiction.
Or Hold a comparable and relevant third level qualification of at least level 6 on the National Qualifications Framework maintained by Qualifications and Quality Ireland, (QQI).
* *Candidates must achieve a pass in Ordinary or Higher level papers.
A pass in a foundation level paper is not acceptable.
Candidates must have achieved these grades on the Leaving Certificate Established programme or the Leaving Certificate Vocational programme.
The Leaving Certification Applied Programme does not fulfil the eligibility criteria.
And, Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability, for the proper discharge of the office.
Skills, competencies and/or knowledge Excellent IT skills including MS Office and database systems.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Excellent time management skills.
