We are currently recruiting experienced Sales Manager for a 5* Hotel in Cork
The Role
The Sales Manager is responsible for managing all sales operations for the Hotel. They are responsible for planning and executing sales product development programs that will meet pre-determined targets and increase our market share.
The Sales Manager is key in identifying new markets, staying in tune with emerging trends and collaborating with regional sales teams. Their duties include identifying new sales opportunities, meeting sales targets, estimating sales profit for products, and managing the events sales team.
Job Specification
* Develops relationships within the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for sales opportunities.
* Initialize and implement annual sales plans for the Hotel in conjunction with the Director of Sales, examining the trends and outcomes that emerge from these implementations.
* Work with the Sales Director to put in place clear business plans for Key Account development and a clear sales strategy to cover key contracts and ensure they are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
* Introduce new business by developing client contacts and through sales initiatives.
* Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
* Identifies new business sectors and opportunities to achieve revenue goals.
* Plan time effectively to meet call mix targets with both cold calling/prospecting and current clients.
Candidate Requirements
* A proven track record in Sales Management in a prominent 4/5* Hotel.
* Ability to develop, manage, and implement strategy and plans.
* Thorough understanding of the importance of customer experience and uncompromising standards of excellence.
* Enthusiastic and creative.
* Strong organizational, strategic planning, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Proactive disposition – anticipation of challenges and mitigation of risks.
* Great communication skills – ability to clearly communicate with suppliers, management, and staff across a variety of nationalities and experience levels.
* Energetic, friendly, approachable, professional, courteous, and well-groomed.
* Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, etc., and knows how to sell against them.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience in Tablepaths, Hotsoft, Volante, or similar advantageous.
* Analytic ability; number-oriented individuals with a well-developed business sense.
* Applicants require current legal status to live and work in Ireland without restrictions.
* Applicants require own transport and Full Driving License.
