Job Summary
The Energy Operations Manager will oversee the portfolio of energy agreements and renewable power purchase agreements, shaping and implementing EPO programs to meet organizational goals. This includes managing contracts, financial performance, and energy compliance with external and internal stakeholders.
1. Own the assigned portfolio of energy agreements and renewable power purchase agreements.
2. Participate in shaping and implementing EPO programs (including contract management, financial performance and energy compliance with external and internal stakeholders) to meet the org's goals and success metrics.
3. Plan and drive execution of initiatives to improve our energy operations. Continuously seek to invent and simplify in order to achieve further scale effect for Amazon's management of its energy portfolio.
4. Act as a subject matter expert on executed renewable energy agreements in designated markets, and own the management of the contractual obligations with counterparties.
5. Report and analyze performance in assigned portfolio, identifying impacts to our business units and our customers.
6. Support the management of the on-boarding process for new contracts with a large number of counterparties. Track progress and drive for successful completion.
7. Support environmental attributes tracking and retirement across the portfolio.
8. Work collaboratively with other AWS and Amazon teams to support the management of the energy programs.
