We are currently recruiting for a Quality Manager to join our food production unit in Galway, Ireland. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our food products consistently meet and exceed quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance program to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
2. Supervise and lead a team of quality control professionals to achieve high-quality products.
3. Monitor and evaluate product quality throughout the production process using scientific methods.
4. Establish and maintain quality standards and procedures to prevent contamination.
5. Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
6. Collaborate with other departments to resolve quality-related issues promptly.
7. Identify opportunities for process improvements and initiate corrective actions to minimize waste.
8. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards, such as HACCP and GMP.
9. Investigate customer complaints and respond professionally to maintain brand reputation.
10. Train employees on quality control processes and procedures to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
1. A degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience in quality management within the food manufacturing industry.
2. Familiarity with food safety regulations and certifications, including HACCP, GMP, and BRC.
3. An attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality products.
4. Leadership and team management skills to motivate and inspire teams.
5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to drive business growth.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
