We are seeking a Residential Manager to lead and manage the delivery and ongoing development of an assisted living residential service for older persons in the community in conjunction with members and volunteers.
The job holder will regularly report updates and progress on all matters related to the service to The Conference/Management Committee. They will be line managed by the National Children and Family Services Manager.
Requirements
* A third-level qualification at Level 7 NQF or Higher in one or more of the following disciplines: Social Care, Social Work, Social Studies, Care of the Elderly, Healthcare, or other relevant discipline, with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience working in a leadership/management role in services for older persons is essential.
* OR experience in a leadership/management role in services for older persons for a minimum of 6 years is essential.
Essential Requirements
* A knowledge of relevant policy and best practice issues pertaining to older persons, person-centred care, and of the key agencies working on behalf of older persons is essential.
* Understanding of health and safety requirements in this area.
* Understanding of HSE standards for Adult Community Care and Older Person Services.
* Experience working directly with older persons or this age group in general in a support and/or residential setting is essential.
* Experience of leading a team is essential.
* Experience of programme or group coordination focusing on the personal and/or educational and/or emotional and social development of the individual.
* Experience in the community/voluntary sector/social care environment.
