Job Description
We are currently seeking a Data Engineer to support Asset Management’s Strategic Advisors data needs. This is a hands-on role where you will understand the requirements, contribute to the development of specific product features including provisioning of datasets, database development in Oracle, ETL development, applying the best engineering practices, testing, deployment, and providing L3 support.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
* Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL
* Some experience in data analysis
* Experience in SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning
* Exposure to Agile development practices
The Skills You Bring
* Familiarity with logical data modeling and relational database design
* Data movement and ETL experience would be beneficial (preferably Informatica)
* Experience working with native AWS services, creating Data APIs, Snowflake and Python would be advantageous
* Unix scripting and AutoSys skills would also be a plus
* Data Warehousing knowledge would be advantageous
* Oracle APEX knowledge would be advantageous
* Experience with a source control system
* Ability to work with project teams located in multiple geographic locations
* Financials and Investment domains exposure will be a plus.

How Your Work Impacts the Organization
The position aligns to the Asset Management Technology organization which provides worldwide technology and support to the Investment Management, Research, Trading and Investment Operations functions. This Data Engineer role involves developing consistent, reliable, maintainable, performance focused code for Strategic Advisors Data platforms leveraged by the applications supporting Fidelity’s Asset Management business.
The team environment consists of a global Asset Management data engineering team of approx. 300 associates including Data Engineers, Data Modelers, DBAs plus working with Data Architecture partners.
