Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for applying underwriting strategies, policies, and procedures on a day-to-day basis. They will model our company values by delivering a professional, accurate, and efficient underwriting service to our network of approved brokers, while supporting the Underwriting leadership team in developing and implementing effective underwriting strategies.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage own underwriting caseload, including receiving, investigating, and assessing underwriting referrals from brokers.
* Communicate decisions and risk appetite to brokers in a professional manner.
* Make timely and accurate decisions, adhering to underwriting authority.
* Create and issue underwriting documentation as required.
* Adhere to internal technical, operational, and compliance procedures and practices.
* Analyse underwriting data and manage administrative tasks.
Supporting the Team
* Support the Underwriting leadership team in developing profitable and sustainable growth, including involvement in underwriting and product projects.
* Share technical underwriting knowledge with claims colleagues.
* Contribute to the development and delivery of Operational and Technical Management Information and analysis.
