Candidate Criteria:
Qualifications Registered nurse on the active Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland Post Graduate Course or relevant educational course (Desirable) Healthcare Management Qualification (Desirable) Experience Must have 5 years post registration experience in an acute Hospital setting.
With at least two of those years being within the area of Endoscopy.
Have the clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
Experience with an Electronic Health Record (Desirable)
Knowledge of nurse-led venesections, performing Fibroscans, and non-oncology infusions (Desirable) Preceptorship experience (Desirable) The Purpose of This Role:
The Clinical Nurse Manager II is integral to the efficient planning, coordination, and management of activities and resources within the clinical setting.
In this leadership role, they are responsible for overseeing patient pre-assessment, as well as the pre and post-procedural care of both Endoscopy and Flexible Cystoscopy patients.
In addition, the Clinical Nurse Manager II will also be responsible for managing Fibroscan services, nurse-led venesection services and the non-oncology infusions.
The CNMII will lead the continuous development and consistent improvement of these areas within our hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the nursing team within the Endoscopy Suite, ensuring high standards of care.
Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within the Endoscopy Suite.
Quality assurance within their designated area(s), as well as overseeing and maintaining high standards of clinical practice, and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources.
Managing staffing levels, fostering staff development, and promoting practice development initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of the nursing team.
Be responsible for the co-ordination, assessment, planning, implementation, and review of care for patients according to BSHS standards.
Maintain compliance with safety protocols, policies, and best practices in patient care.
Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
