Senior SAP BODS Engineer
Job Type: 5 months + extendable
Location: Dublin – Hybrid – 3 days at customer site in Dublin
The Role
At least 4 years of hands-on development experience of SAP Data Service especially using 4.3. Should have experience in interacting with SAP ISU / Oracle / MS SQL / Azure (ADLS and Hyperscale) and flat files.
Key Responsibilities
* Understanding business requirements relating to business data sources with the ability to integrate it and/or transform it effectively in accordance with business needs.
* The customization and development of Extract Transform and Load routines, modeling, queries, reports and analysis.
* Support of existing data marts, warehouse process chains and associated models and queries.
* Ensuring the successful delivery of all assigned Data Engineering work on projects across all business units and their successful deployment to production, including use cases developed by our Data Science & Analytics team.
* Implement changes (CR’s) or new developments relating to existing data warehouses.
* Troubleshooting and resolving issues with any of our SAP Business warehouse instances.
Your Profile
Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
* Experience in Software Development and Agile Methodologies.
* Excellent experience developing SAP BO Data Services solutions comprising data ingestion, transformation, cleansing, and integration.
* Significant experience in tuning SAP Data Services jobs.
* Proven ability to schedule SAP Data Services jobs optimally.
* Excellent knowledge of SAP ERP (incl. SAP Hana) & SAP BW and its data structure & content.
* Experience in working with SAP Customized Views.
* Experience in SAP Data Services and Azure Integration.
* Experience in SAP ABAP development.
* Skilled in SQL scripting.
* Significant experience in SAP Business Objects.
* Experience in Database and Data Storage Platforms.
* Experience in developing ETL routines, processes and structures.
* Experience in troubleshooting, incident & change management and transition processes.
* Creating data catalogues.
* Identifying Critical Data Elements.
* Recording data quality business rules.
* Carrying out data quality assessments.
* Creating data quality assessment scripts & ETLs.
* Creating data quality reports.
* Reporting, documentation/writing.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Experience with a wide range of IT environments, platforms and applications.
* IT Qualification – Degree or equivalent work experience.
Candidates should hold appropriate RTWs for Ireland i.e. Stamp1G, Stamp 4, Irish/British/EU passport.
