The Role
We seek an ambitious Senior Manager for our Financial Services Team, specializing in banking, capital markets, asset management, and aircraft leasing clients. This role offers significant advancement opportunities within the growing practice, following changes in audit reform legislation. The position involves international collaboration on cross-border assignments and establishing relationships with senior management and partners.
Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of FS clients and perform work to a high technical standard in a commercially beneficial manner.
* Lead a dedicated team by managing, organizing, and deploying staff on assignments as necessary.
* Contribute to the strategic direction of the Financial Services team internally (quality and standards) and externally (market direction).
* Other key duties include:
1. Develop and manage a portfolio of FS clients.
2. Assist partners and directors in business development activities.
3. Control the financial aspects of a client portfolio, including budgeting, negotiating, billing, and recovery.
4. Bilateral collaboration across the firm and engagement with different business areas.
5. Effective planning and resource allocation for staff on assignments.
6. Promotion of the firm's values and beliefs, maintaining an ethical stance.
7. Clear communication of team goals and objectives for team members.
8. Recruitment, promotion, and talent development within the team.
9. Maintenance of up-to-date knowledge of risk management policies and operational procedures.
10. Client issue understanding and collaborative relationship development.
11. Cultivation of junior staff through learning & development and coaching.
About You
* A qualified accountant with relevant FS audit experience in a Big 4/Top 10 practice environment (minimum 4 years PQE).
* A role model setting high standards of quality and demonstrating self-development commitment.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Fluent English and excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Proven leadership and operational supervision of large audit groups.
* Strong technical proficiency in IFRS.
