This leading tour operator is currently recruiting an Inventory Manager to secure space and rate advantage from hotels, ensuring that clients receive a competitively priced tour whilst also achieving commercial success for the company. A commercial approach to demand management, turnaround times, people allocation, price offers, and use of allocations is essential. Overall job objectives include:
* Lead the team so it operates commercially, identifying the opportunity to return quotation enquiries into placed hotels
* Ensure there is a fast turn-around of enquiries and prioritising these with the team and Yield Management
* Support high conversion rates from enquiries in partnership with the Client Hubs
* Team management: training and supervision
* Negotiation with hotels
* Management and improvement of processes
* Recommendation for hotels to be targeted, rates, itinerary building
* Ensuring supplier relationships are maintained and enhanced
The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of Irish hotels and pricing structure with a firm grasp of revenue management (i.e., hotel Revenue Manager). Must have experience of the contracting process, demonstrating excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Will also be a talented team leader with a proven track record of motivating and developing a team to meet all department targets and goals.
