Maintenance Engineer in Omagh
Vickerstock is working with a leading food manufacturer based in Omagh, a town in Northern Ireland. Our client produces products for some of the world's largest food retailers.
Job Overview
This is a full-time permanent role within the Maintenance department. As a Maintenance Engineer, your primary focus will be to ensure maximum uptime of machinery across various shift patterns.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform scheduled engineering maintenance works, including diagnostic fault analysis.
* Maintain auxiliary services (steam, air, water, etc.) plant, equipment, and distribution systems.
* Maximise asset utilisation while minimising costs in conjunction with Engineering Management and Production Manager.
* Carry out schedule-based maintenance work on equipment, buildings, and services.
* Repair, overhaul, and install as necessary.
* Fault-find mechanical and/or electrical faults and repair equipment in a breakdown situation.
Requirements:
* Relevant NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or recognised time-served apprenticeship in electrical engineering.
* Experience servicing and repairing electrical, electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
* Preventive maintenance experience on motors, gearboxes, conveyor systems, rollers, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
* Ability to adjust and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimal specifications.
