Payroll Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately process payroll across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and international tax and labor laws.
* Manage the end-to-end payroll process for a diverse workforce, including permanent, contract, and temporary staff.
* Collaborate with HR and finance teams to maintain up-to-date employee data, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and benefit adjustments.
* Ensure timely submission of payroll-related taxes and statutory filings across jurisdictions, including PAYE, PRSI, USC, and other relevant obligations.
* Coordinate with external payroll providers in different countries to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Handle international payroll complexities such as expat payroll, tax equalization, and currency conversion.
* Monitor changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements across various jurisdictions to ensure compliance.
* Respond promptly to payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies.
* Prepare and present payroll reports for management, ensuring accuracy and relevance for audits, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and implement automation or software solutions to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing payroll across multiple jurisdictions or international payroll processing.
* Strong knowledge of Irish payroll regulations, with additional expertise in international payroll compliance (e.g., UK, EU, US, or other regions).
* Experience with global payroll software platforms (e.g., ADP, Workday Payroll, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar).
* Familiarity with expatriate payroll and related tax compliance requirements.
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field; payroll-specific certifications (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Global Payroll Management Certificate) are highly desirable.
* Proven ability to manage complex payroll operations, including coordinating with external providers and handling cross-border payments.
* Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage tight deadlines.
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for payroll reporting and data analysis.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with employees, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
