Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team in Co Laois. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full ownership of payroll for over 80 employees and will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with ROS reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining accurate employee records, including details for starters, leavers, pay rates, BIK etc.
2. Finalizing weekly payroll runs with management, ensuring each employee is assigned to the correct project.
3. Dealing with queries from employees.
4. Tracking annual leave on system.
5. Ensuring compliance with ROS reporting requirements.
6. Preparing month-end reporting experience.
7. Owning Accounts payable, processing invoices accurately, and allocating costs to the correct project in a timely manner.
8. Reconciling supplier balances on system to supplier statements monthly.
9. Assisting the financial controller with monthly management accounts, including accrual/prepayment schedules, fixed asset schedule & lease schedules, and work in progress schedule.
10. Posting general journals required.
11. Preparing year-end audit schedules for review.
