Cpl Healthcare has an exceptional opportunity for a Registered Consultant Psychiatrist - Adult and Later Life with an independent acute psychiatric teaching hospital in Dublin city.
As a leading European provider in mental health treatment and care, and a teaching hospital, the role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team where specialist services include care in the areas of Substance Misuse, Psychotic Disorders, Eating Disorders, Psychiatry of Later Life, and Adolescent Disorders. The Hospital holds a certificate of registration with the Mental Health Commission as an Approved Centre in compliance with the Mental Health Act.
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of 20 acute inpatient beds and outpatient consultant adult and later life services. The post holder will provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team and will play a pivotal role in the review and development of the Hospital's long-established adult and later life services and relevant programmes.
This is a full-time permanent post offering a salary range of €58,000-€120,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
To be considered for the role, the following criteria apply:
* Registration on the General Register of Medical Practitioners, maintained by the Medical Council of Ireland, in the specialty of Adult and Psychiatry of Later Life.
* Possession of the MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
* Seven years' satisfactory postgraduate training and experience in the medical profession, including five years in psychiatry, of which three years were in adult and later life psychiatry.
* A satisfactory knowledge of the administration of psychiatric services.
* Possess a high standard of professional attainment and the requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the post.
* Eligibility to work in Ireland.
