A leading food producer in County Kerry is seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Manager to oversee the food safety and quality management systems on site. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in upholding and enhancing quality standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and fostering a strong food safety culture across the organization.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the food safety and quality management systems on site, ensuring all processes align with industry standards. This includes leading the food safety team, driving improvements through a structured internal audit program, and managing the laboratory function to ensure precise and timely analysis.
You will also collaborate with suppliers to maintain high milk quality standards, ensure full compliance with certifications such as FSSC 22000 and ISO 14001, and act as the primary point of contact for Regulatory Authorities and lead all third-party and customer audits.
As a champion of a positive food safety culture throughout the company, you will ensure best practices are implemented and followed, and oversee the investigation and timely resolution of consumer complaints.
Key Responsibilities:

Candidate Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
* A minimum of 3-5 years in a senior technical or quality management role within the food production industry
* Demonstrated experience implementing and managing a Food Safety Management System (FSMS)
* Strong understanding of food safety standards and experience with regulatory compliance and audits
