Job Description:
We are partnering with a prominent public sector financial organization to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager for a permanent role.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven finance professional to take on a dynamic and rewarding position, supporting the finance operations of Ireland's sovereign development and wealth funds.
The Role
* Prepare/Review due diligence on all new direct loans and alternative investments, analyzing the financial and operational impacts, consisting of facility agreement and fund documentation review
* Review partnership agreements and interpret reporting requirements and partner economics.
* Responsible for administration of loans including reviewing facility agreements, calculating interest and repayments for review and approval.
* Review investee allocations and capital account statements.
* Review and process capital call and distribution notices
* Review of daily and monthly internal management information reporting.
* Review/ prepare the reconciliation of the daily NAVs produced by the Fund's Portfolio Management System to the ABOR.
* Prepare and review accounting journals
* Preparation of quarterly reporting to the Investment Valuation Committee.
* Manage the year end direct equity valuation process with the external valuer and auditors.
About You
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
* Third level qualification preferably in Finance or Accounting (or related field)
* Experience managing a team of finance professionals.
* At least 5 years experience in Fund Accounting, knowledge of both Private Market and Hedge products essential.
* Experience in Portfolio Management System onboarding/transformation projects desirable.
* Experience in the administration and accounting of investments such as quoted and unquoted equities, bonds, funds, loans, derivatives and alternatives is essential.
* Experience implementing and using a portfolio management system would be advantageous.
* Experience reviewing and interpreting loan facility agreements, limited partnerships agreements and other investment documentation would be advantageous.
* Experience working on finance transformation projects and the introduction of automation would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of general ledger applications (in particular Infor SunSystems) would be advantageous.
