Compliance Analyst Role
The Compliance Analyst is a key component of the 'second line of defence' in Amazon's compliance and risk management governance structure. This role is critical to ensure the rapid expansion of Amazon's payments business, develop Amazon Payments' compliance strategies and implement rigorous controls across all functions within the company.
This position works closely with various teams, including legal, operations, product, risk management, marketing, and finance. The Compliance Analyst will be responsible for driving projects to completion, developing strategies based on data, and balancing compliance, business, and customer needs to protect Amazon and enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Customer Due Diligence Checks: Complete thorough checks on customers to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
* Seller Document Validation: Verify the accuracy of seller documents and information.
* Exception Handling: Identify and resolve any exceptions, documenting results and escalating areas of concern to management.
* Compliance Reporting: Provide regular reports to business functions on compliance performance.
* Regulatory Change Implementation: Assist in the timely implementation of regulatory changes into business operations.
* AML/KYC Tracking: Create and monitor reports and metrics for AML and KYC tracking purposes.
* Subject Matter Expertise: Provide support and AML subject matter expertise to investigations/operational staff.
Requirements
* Languages: Fluency in Italian and English, with additional European languages being an advantage.
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Science, Compliance, or Economics.
* Experience: 1-2 years of previous AML/Compliance experience.
* Certifications: Strong working knowledge of Compliance, AML, and KYC related laws and other relevant regulations. An AML-related certification is preferred.
