Profile
Our client is seeking a Legal Secretary with a minimum of 2 years relevant legal experience working in a fast-paced environment at a high level. The position is a full time role and it will encompass various areas of general practice but primarily conveyancing and family law.
Requirements:
1. Bookkeeping / client account entries / postings and maybe payments
2. Registrations and certs of title
3. Experience in conveyancing and family law highly desirable
4. Ability to prepare contracts and reply to requisitions
5. Ability to work under own initiative and manage diaries, review and organise files to a high standard
6. A high level of competency in Word, Excel, Outlook and demonstrate strong attention to detail
7. Opening and closing files
8. Experience working with multiple clients
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
10. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
11. Creating, amending and formatting legal documents and templates
12. In the absence of solicitor, providing support with the day to day running of the practice
13. File management, including scanning and photocopying
14. Ability to prioritise a large workload
15. Ability to multitask and work to strict deadlines
16. Excellent communication and telephone skills
17. A team player with a positive attitude
The successful candidate will work mainly for a partner of the practice. Some experience in other aspects of general practice would be beneficial and salary is commensurate with competence and experience.
